A new WordPress website for increased flexibility

One of the reasons we recommended this was to give the client more control over their website, which was previously a locked content management system (CMS) created by a different agency.

Using a locked CMS is typically done to protect conflicting updates or accidental changes, but in practice it can quickly prove impractical.

Having a locked CMS in this case was limiting the client’s ability to communicate their services. As their business offerings expanded, they needed to be able to make or change key landing pages easily. However, their existing website didn’t allow them to do this.

Rebuilding the site on WordPress (specifically using Elementor) allowed us to build it exactly how Keogh needed – and gave the client greater control over their own destiny in future.

A focus on navigation and lead generation

With the new website, we wanted to build pages that would encourage users to convert and made getting in touch with Keogh easier.

To that end, we rolled out:

  • A new navigation that allowed for more intuitive website use.
  • New page designs that encouraged users to convert.
  • New on-page forms that made it easier for users to contact Keogh with less clicks. These were integrated with Keogh’s Insightly CRM to allow for seamless lead management.
Adding contact forms on page makes it easier for site visitors to convert, without having to click around the site

Using contextual content to position Keogh as thought leaders

As part of our SEO strategy, it was important to leverage Keogh’s considerable expertise to position them as thought leaders. This was a two-fold project:

  1. Adding contextual CTAs to blogs that were already performing well for desired topics, while making necessary tweaks to optimise them for key phrases across the SERP and AI sources (like Google’s AIO, ChatGPT). These updated blogs showed a clear link for users and search engines between the subject matter and the relevant service offering.

  2. Creating a schedule of topical authority blogs. Like many B2B consultants, many of Keogh’s offerings are most accurately associated with low- or no-volume keywords. By creating thought leadership pieces on highly relevant topics, Keogh can show users and search engines that they are an authority on the subject (and therefore authentic, trustworthy).
By continually optimising Keogh's content around key topics, they can hold a position of relevance, trust and authority across search and AI overviews.
